We are actively hiring an executive-level Chief Technology Officer with a TS/SCI w/ polygraph to work in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for understanding, harnessing, and showcasing ATS's technical services and solutions, with a view to building ATS's brand as a leader in engineering and technology expertise across the national security space. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, your role will require close collaboration with several departments-to include Business Development, Administration, Finance, and HR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovation Leadership: Lead the development of innovative technologies and IP-particularly in the areas of cyber and AI-that maximize the value of ATS's unique insights into mission accomplishment.
- Solution Identification: Build relationships with key technical contributors across ATS (including running technology-focused communities of practice), with a view to identifying and taking advantage of the best solutions already being applied across ATS that may be scalable and/or applicable to additional mission needs.
- Solution Development: Serve as lead architect for custom solutions for proposals and white papers, cooperating closely with the Senior Vice President of Business Development.
- Brand Building: Proactively engage with Government executives on ATS's capabilities and solutions, building a brand for ATS as a leader in technology and engineering services.
- Thought Leadership: Represent ATS at government and industry conferences, roundtables, and in publications, sharing insights on technology trends, innovation, and best practices.
- Partnerships and Vendor Management: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key technology vendors, ensuring access to industry-leading tools and resources that can be incorporated into ATS proposals or solutions, or used to support ATS's client-facing projects.
- Market Sensing: Engage with customers and industry experts to identify trends and opportunities for innovation, ensuring alignment with market needs.
- Research: Stay current with emerging technologies, research, and industry publications, highlighting identified trends and business opportunities for internal audiences at ATS.
- Training Expertise: Apply knowledge of technical career paths to aid in corporate efforts to develop training and upskilling the workforce, particularly in regards to how AI will affect different occupations at ATS.
- ROI Measurement: Measure and track the ROI from R&D efforts, ensuring that innovations translate into business value and align with company objectives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree
- US Government security clearance at TOP SECRET with polygraph
- At least 15 years of service in the Intelligence Community in technical roles
- Proven track record leading technology efforts in Government or at a Government contractor
- Knowledge of Federal Government contracting, procurement, and acquisitions processes
- Knowledge of current and likely future technology trends, particularly in the realm of AI and cyber
- Proven experience in working across departments to meet organizational goals
- Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships with key vendors and technology partners
- Strong skills in developing and marketing innovative technology solutions
- Proven ability to measure the ROI of R&D efforts and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Expertise in technology thought leadership, including speaking at conferences
- Strong writing skills with experience in producing content for proposals, white papers, and marketing materials
