Learn more about MSK Biobank: Biofluids Division is a centralized facility for the processing and storage of human biological specimens from patients with hematologic and lymphoid malignancies as well as solid tumors. The Biobank does not conduct actual investigative research but instead provides biospecimens to other investigators at MSKCC conducting research using human biospecimens. These may include blood cells, plasma, serum, bone marrow cells, or lymphoid cells or tissue. Each stored specimen is linked to demographic and clinical information regarding the patient's diagnosis, treatment history, and treatment response. The Biobank adheres to stringent quality control standards to ensure that stored biospecimens are of consistent quality and linked to validated clinical information for MSKCC investigators using the shared resource.
