Job Summary This position assists with developing student engagement opportunities at both Pecos and Williams campuses through planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of assigned Student Life and Leadership programs for students, including Co-curricular, Multicultural, and Leadership Programs. This position balances the technical and administrative demand of event/program execution with the relational ability to connect with the community (students, staff, faculty, and external vendors). Essential Functions 40% - Assists faculty and staff with the implementation of retention strategies, integrative learning,co-curricular multicultural and guided pathways as it pertains to student success and student development theory for student engagement; by planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of the assigned Student Life and Leadership initiatives and activities for students; assess the effectiveness, assists and trains office staff, new, and continuing students in all Student Life and Leadership programs particularly with co-curricular, multicultural, and leadership; plans and coordinates conferences, workshops, meetings, and special campus and community events for students 30% - Prepares, designs, and maintains correspondence with students, faculty, and staff, reports, presentations for students and faculty, program materials and documentation. Maintains and updates student engagement software and department websites; coordinates and maintains database information and reporting systems; provides information and technical assistance regarding program guidelines and applicable laws, policies, rules, and regulations 20% - Coordinates internal and external marketing; fiscal functions including budget; develops and maintains liaisons with faculty, staff, other colleges, the District Office, and the greater community; conducts outreach to involve the campus and the community as program participants; may sit on campus and district committees 10% - other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications 1. Bachelor's or higher earned degree 2. Experience with or knowledge of: leadership/multicultural/and or Co-curricular program development implementation, and evaluation. 3. Experience planning and coordinating conferences, workshops, meetings, and special campus and community events 4. Experience working with technology, computer programs and software such as Microsoft Office, Google applications, and/or other similar programs relating to tracking participant/student engagement. 5. Experience collaborating with a wide range of people groups and organizations. 6. Effective written communication skills as demonstrated in a cover letter Special Working Conditions May be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs.
