PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER
Work Location: On-Site at Catawba Nuclear Power Plant in York, SC
POSITION SUMMARY
Project Implementation Manager responsible for the 1B RN Pump (1B Nuclear Service Water Pump) change-out being performed during the 2026 Spring Outage at a nuclear Client facility. Essential duties and responsibilities will be:
- Conduct Bi-Weekly High Intensity Team meetings with the multi-disciplinary team to discuss action items, identify where help is needed, etc.
- Work with coordinator and scheduler to refine schedule durations and timelines
- Work with ISI Coordinators and Tech support for Dive planning for hanger removal underwater
- Work with Engineering/Tech support to ensure hanger removal and fabrications are well defined and scheduled appropriately
- Work with Contractor management for resources for hangers, riggers, and millwrights
- Be the lead owner of the 1B RN Pump and motor replacement project
The scope includes:
- Pre-outage walkdowns and detailed planning review of work order tasks
- Outage Ready Ready reviews of all tasks
- Pre-outage prefabrication of hanger assemblies
- Pre-outage planning of laydown areas and staging
- Removing the 1B RN Motor
- Dive team ISI inspection of hangers on the 1B RN Pump (in 1st 72 hour LCO)
- Dive team cut hangers for pump removal (in 1st 72 hour LCO)
- Remove 1B RN pump
- Restore 1st LCO by functionally running the 2B RN Pump
- B RN Pit is drained (2nd 72 hour LCO)
- Install new pump, motor, and restore hangers required for operability of the B RN Pit (in 2nd 72 hour LCO)
- Exit 2nd 72 hour LCO for B RN Unavailability
- Complete all other pump, motor, and hanger restorations
- Functional runs and inspections
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in written form) with all levels of management, supervision, craft and support functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a project team environment.
- Knowledge of the Work Management process at an operating nuclear facility.
- Able to obtain and maintain clearance for unescorted access.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Previous experience managing the implementation of large maintenance / modification activities at a nuclear Client facility, working with all levels of Client personnel, D&Z personnel and other contractor personnel as required to complete project.
- Previous experience supporting Nuclear Service Water Pump change-out activities at an operating nuclear station.
- Minimum 7 - 10 years of relevant Project Management experience at a power plant/equivalent facility or a minimum of 4 years' experience as D&Z Construction Manager or Project Manager.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
Minimum of an Associates degree in a relevant field or the completion of a journeyman program required.
- And/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification:
- PMP Certification preferred
In compliance with transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $95,000 - $171,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and other factors.
