National Grid is hiring a Engineer (Electrical Planning and Design), Electrical Engineering for Massachusetts. This is a Onsite Role - Must live within a commutable distance to Northboro, MA. Job Purpose
As an Engineer in DC&I, you will be at the forefront of National Grid's Grid Modernization initiatives, contributing to the specification, design, and implementation of advanced grid technologies across the distribution and sub-transmission systems. Your work will span evaluation of emerging technologies; equipment specification and selection; end-to-end solution design including validation and testing of advanced control systems; and development of custom control logic. You will advance automation systems such as FLISR, VVO/CVR, distribution fault locating, and other intelligent grid applications, while also supporting programming and integration of automation platforms, RTUs, and communication systems. In addition, you will play a key role in the development and deployment of Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS), DER gateway solutions, and related technologies that enable a more modern, flexible, and resilient grid.
