Description
The School of Medicine at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Research Scholar in the Department of Urology. The Research Scholar position will focus on research for kidney cancer. We strongly believe in work-life balance and keeping time for things we love outside our work. WVU offers generous benefits, including: What You'll Do The main focus will be on outcomes (oncologic, functional, and morbidities) with a special focus on preexisting comorbidities (CKD, obesity, HTN, etc). We will build a database of approximately 1,500 patients who have been managed with kidney cancer over the past 15 years to support these studies. We will also be able to work with former colleagues at the Cleveland Clinic for collaborative studies. There will be other academic activities related to kidney cancer that the staff/fellow will also participate in. The Research Scholas will also be able to participate in the Department of Urology conferences and other educational activities in the Department, and the staff/fellow will be supported to attend meetings related to the research studies, the annual meetings of the AUA and the Society of Urologic Oncology.
