You'll play a crucial role in keeping our PaaS platform, Bessemer, running smoothly for a growing base of customers. This is a hands-on role where your ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize live cloud environments will have a direct impact on mission success.

Our platform spans multiple cloud environments - AWS, Azure, and OpenStack - and we work with a wide variety of technologies. You'll have the autonomy to own your work while collaborating with a supportive team that values knowledge-sharing, kindness, and technical excellence.

This role will be performed on-site at our local Colorado Springs Office.

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine system maintenance
  • Investigate and resolve live system issues
  • Deploy our platform in new environments as needed
  • Work directly with customers to solve problems and implement requested configurations
  • Proactively identify improvements and automate recurring tasks
  • Research, propose, and implement technical solutions to support evolving customer needs

What You'll Bring

Must-Have Skills:

  • Proficiency with Linux systems administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with virtual machines
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or OpenStack)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Familiarity with Ansible or other configuration management tools
  • Scripting ability in Bash and/or Python

Why This Role is Exciting

  • High Impact: Our customer base is growing steadily, and this role directly supports critical systems.
  • Tech Breadth: You'll work with a wide range of modern tools and cloud platforms, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
  • Autonomy & Ownership: You'll have meaningful independence in your day-to-day work, with a team that has your back.
  • Learning & Development: We support your professional growth with tuition assistance and certification sponsorships for relevant tech education.
  • Cloud-Centric Work: Be at the forefront of cloud operations, one of the most in-demand spaces in tech today.

Who Thrives Here

You're a great fit if you:

  • Are a self-starter who enjoys autonomy but values team collaboration
  • Share knowledge freely and enjoy learning from others
  • Stay curious, ask good questions, and know when to ask for help
  • Bring good energy to the workplace and get excited about tackling new challenges

Don't Meet Every Requirement?

That's okay. If you're excited about this role and think you could contribute meaningfully, we encourage you to apply - we're building a team with diverse skills and perspectives.
