Job Summary: |
This part-time (.20 FTE) position will support the Senior Administrator of Student Affairs with the daily operational activities of student affairs for the Palliative Care Education Programs. The IPCC/MSPC Programs prepare providers-physicians, nurses (including BSN and advanced practice nurses), physician assistants, pharmacists, social workers, spiritual care providers, psychologists, therapists, counselors and ethicists-to be Palliative Care (PC) Community Specialists. PC Community Specialists provide high-quality palliative consultation and care to patients and families in their own communities, giving them the choice of treatment outside an academic tertiary medical center. The IPCC/MSPC Programs are online and based at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (Aurora, CO) in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Graduate School. In addition, a program for physicians, Community Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, supports physicians to complete clinical work that with the MS of Palliative Care leads to Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine through distance learning. The successful candidate will need to have and/or develop skills in Instructional Technology, Canvas, to support the directors, faculty, and students to be successful in an online environment. The Student Enrollment and Engagement Assistant supports graduate programs in Palliative Care Education by supporting admissions, promoting enrollment and student persistence, and coordinating graduation processes. This role includes program advising, student communication, and planning select student-focused/alumni events. The position also identifies and implements innovative process improvements and innovative programming to enhance the graduate student and alumni experience. Responds to initial inquiries about Palliative Care Education programs. Maintains consistent communication with prospective and admitted students, providing guidance throughout the admissions process. Provides program reviews and processes graduate applications. Assists graduate students with registration, student forms, and/or other student services issues. Supports student experience by navigating and troubleshooting enrollment and admissions issues. Completes end-of-semester reviews after each fall, spring, and summer term to ensure students are meeting their admission and program requirements. Conducts graduation degree audits, prepares Admission to Candidacy forms, submits required documentation to the Graduate School, and tracks the status of graduation applications. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
Two (2) years of professional level experience providing higher administrative level support.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in student affairs, educational leadership, business, communication, public administration, or another healthcare-related field from an accredited institution. Two (2) or more years of previous experience working with students in a higher education settings. Previous experience in academic advising, degree planning, and problem-solving challenges experienced by current and/or prospective students. Previous Experience using the University of Colorado Procurement and Financial Systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills. Familiarity with palliative care or similar healthcare professions, public administration, and/or nonprofit management. Knowledge of higher education data systems such as OnBase, CU-SIS, Slate, and/or Sales Force. Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel). Strong knowledge of general office procedures, protocol, and professionalism; basic knowledge of Business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Expert ability to work in a team environment, develop effective interpersonal relationships, providing polite persistence when needed. Expert data entry skills with ability to input information accurately; prepare and maintain detailed records, files, and reports on an ongoing basis. Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Proven ability to manage projects in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to create and implement systems of organization and efficiency. Strong knowledge of database management with the ability to query reports, utilize data, and convert programs. Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail including knowledge of money handling and mathematics.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this part-time (0.2 FTE) position has been established as $10,592 - $13,473. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
