What is the Opportunity?

Position reports to the Head of Governance Risk and Controls (GRC) Implementation Platform and is responsible for the team oversight, management, execution and delivery of platform tools and reporting supporting one or more major regulatory workstreams within the GRC and its stakeholders. Position is responsible for managing a team of those responsible for regulatory workstream(s) platform deliverables:executing against the program structure, providing subject matter expertise into the program approach, and reporting status to senior leadership. Liaises with Legal, HR, Regulatory Relations, Technology & Innovation and other key support functions across the CUSO Enterprise.

What will you do?

  • Management and oversight of the GRC regulatory app and reporting team.

  • Responsible for the platform solution planning, execution and delivery of one or more major regulatory workstreams within the within the GRC and related disciplines.

  • Manage and develop Board, Management, and Regulatory Platform applications, workflows, and reporting.

  • Provide strategic oversight into solution delivery approach and execution.

  • Partners with senior leaders in the GRC office to ensure integrated activities across regulatory remediation.

  • Provide leadership and ownership of various platform solution initiatives as needed.

  • Partner with first, second and third line of defense colleagues, serving as a conduit to ensure accurate delivery and completion.

  • Interact with regulators to provide key status on regulatory compliance programs.

  • Responsible for fostering a culture of compliance with existing and pending regulations.

  • Lead and manage colleagues' team through influence and example.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand and interpret functional requirements.

  • Architect, design, test, and release features for business intelligence projects.

  • Develop analytics solutions, including data modeling, dashboards, and reports.

  • Create data warehouses, including fact and dimension table architecture.

  • Design and manage metadata for schema and reporting objects in tools like Power BI, Tableau, and MicroStrategy.

  • Work with advanced data platforms, including Snowflake, Fabric, SharePoint, and Dataverse, to support scalable and efficient data solutions.

  • Develop and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to structure data in a layered approach, ensuring a high level of data quality and accessibility.

  • Use Notebooks for data processing and transformation tasks.

  • Implement data transformations using Scala or PySpark for efficient processing of large datasets in the Medallion architecture.

  • Implement and manage automation processes for data ingestion and report generation.

  • Support Agile Scrum teams by planning technical solutions and delivering capabilities.

  • Develop and maintain OData and API integrations to support data flow across systems.

  • Ensure secure and efficient API implementation for business intelligence tools.

  • Design and Architect end-to-end solutions using Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps tailored to meet business requirements and ensure scalability, performance, and security.

  • Teams and Collaboration: Architect solutions that enable collaborative workspaces, configuring Teams to streamline user interactions within the app environment.

  • Forms and User Interfaces: Design intuitive forms and interfaces that ensure smooth user experience while capturing critical business data.

  • Business Logic and Rules: Develop and integrate robust business rules to automate workflows, enforce data consistency, and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Data Relationships and Entity Management: Design and configure relationships between entities, ensuring seamless data flow and meaningful interaction across the application.

  • Data Structure and Optimization: Define keys, column types, and data model configurations to optimize storage, retrieval, and performance.

  • Auditing and Monitoring: Implement auditing and monitoring capabilities to track and report on user actions and system performance, ensuring compliance and transparency.

  • Architect and design Power Automate flows to automate approval workflows and integrate business processes seamlessly within the Power Apps environment, ensuring alignment with enterprise requirements and IT policies.

  • Provide strategic guidance and governance on best practices, ensuring that the Power Apps solutions align with the broader enterprise architecture, integrate effectively with existing systems, and are adaptable to future business needs.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.

  • Perform data mining and identify new reporting opportunities by analyzing business KPIs.

  • Develop and implement adoption strategies through reporting and usage analysis.

  • Manage reporting platforms, including LDAP and Windows Authentication.

  • Define and implement security roles using Azure AD and Entra ID.

  • Plan for unit testing, rollback strategies, and ensure system reliability during deployments.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Proven leadership and program management skills to drive alignment across key business functions.

  • Deep understanding and proven ability to build relationships with internal and external partners

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators, to include virtual, matrixed leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships across the CUSO.

  • Experience managing or being a part of a compliance or risk management team for a large US bank or large Legal Firm

  • Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver end-to-end risk management platform solutions and controls aligned with group's processes.

  • Deep understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into platform solutions for the business, function and/or risk type.

  • Business Intelligence Tools: Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau

  • Automation Platforms: Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate

  • Data Management & Analytics:

  • Data Factory, SQL Server, Azure DB, Oracle, Snowflake, Fabric, SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, DAX, M Query

  • APIs & Integration: OData, API Calls

  • Project Management & Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence

  • Security Management: Azure Active Directory, Entra ID

  • Lifecycle & Deployment Tools: Deployment Pipelines, CI/CD practices
