Position Overview

Position Summary

Under general supervision, assist unit personnel in planning, developing and providing credit, non-credit, concurrent enrollment and learning opportunities offered through Distance Learning.



Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent the contractual interests of the University at the various dual enrollment sites
  • Coordinate dual enrollment registration
  • Visit participating schools as needed to collect paperwork, promote communication, and represent the University
  • Maintain continuous contact with appropriate faculty, staff, and offices regarding dual enrollment activities
  • Coordinate new courses to offer through Dual Enrollment to high schools
  • Develop and manage Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) with participating schools.
  • Work with enrollment services, IT and other campus entities to assist students, high school staff, and parents with on-boarding by designing and offering face to face and online activities.
  • Maintain communication with off-site faculty, parents and students to ensure distance education services are being met
  • Work with departments, registrar, and Academic Affairs to create sections and approve instructors.
  • Maintain files on students and off-site faculty
  • Collect mid-term and final grades from off-site faculty
  • Coordinate all aspects of Distance Learning continuing education programs and opportunities, including developing non-credit courses and programs, creating promotional material and service contracts, taking and processing registrations, and other course/event planning
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree is required. Experience with Customer Service and social media/ publications experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the procedures and practices in educational program planning.
  • Knowledge of outreach methods, recruitment strategies, and school relations.
  • Knowledge of the resources of the campus and surrounding community.
  • Knowledge of processes required to plan and construct program offerings.
  • Ability to obtain, analyze and evaluate data for specific use.
  • Ability to organize, maintain documents, manage and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter

Working Conditions

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed during normal work hours but may require evening and weekend hours for special events or to meet deadlines
  • Work is sedentary in nature that at time requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a consistent amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Work requires sufficient vision, hearing, speech, and manual dexterity to perform essential functions, including extended periods of computer use
