This role is responsible for making sure all of the Port's networks and connectivity systems work reliably, securely, and efficiently by overseeing upgrades, fixing problems, and ensuring the systems can grow with the organization. This position oversees a network team, direct contractors, and the Managed Service Provider (MSP). Essential Job Duties
-
Key Responsibilities Operational Management and Service Delivery.
- Operational Excellence: Direct daily operations to ensure optimal infrastructure performance and seamless service delivery. Prioritize incident response efforts to ensure rapid remediation and minimize downtime. Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational processes.
- Lifecycle Strategy: Develop and execute infrastructure lifecycle investment plans that ensure service continuity, enhance system resiliency, and prepare the organization for emerging technologies.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs to track staff efficiency, identify infrastructure risks, and validate the value and performance of the Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships and contracts, including the MSP. Ensure all support and maintenance agreements are active and that partners deliver on performance obligations.
- ITSM Enhancement: Continuously improve IT Service Management processes and refine the service catalog to ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
Leadership and Planning. - Delivers critical services and manages a team that enables Port business.
- Team Leadership & Talent Management: Lead and inspire the IT Communications Services department by fostering a culture of accountability, effective planning, and prioritization. Manage a diverse technical team through active coaching and mentorship. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement improvement plans to ensure high standards of delivery.
- Infrastructure Planning & Technology Road mapping: Partner with senior leadership, enterprise architecture, and peer departments to define and maintain technology roadmaps. Sets the direction for network infrastructure evolution, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Project Management and Delivery - Deliver network and telecom services as needed for the extensive Port capital improvement program.
- Capital Program Alignment: Direct the delivery of network and telecommunications services to support the Port's extensive capital improvement program, ensuring infrastructure needs are integrated into all construction projects.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for network interests, coordinating closely with Project Managers, internal stakeholders, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and external partners to align deliverables with project timelines.

Minimum Qualifications
-
- Eight (8) + years of demonstrated team leadership in both technology and people management. Multi-disciplinary experience organizationally and cross-functionally in network and telecommunications technologies.
- Bachelor's Degree - Information Technology, Computer Science, Technology Management or related field, or a combination of related education and demonstrated experience
- Ability to pass a criminal history records check and maintain eligibility for access to secured areas of the airport as mandated by TSA regulations.
- CJIS - Level 4 IT Support Certification.
- Clear credit check (due to access to sensitive financial information).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Advanced experience with Leadership and team-building capabilities
- Advanced experience with systems thinking and enterprise planning
- Advanced experience with Process development and requirements mapping
- Advanced experience with Oral and written communication

Selection Process: (tentative schedule):
- A minimum qualification evaluation of the education, training, and experience of submitted application packets will take place by Human Resources until this role closes on 1/9/2026.
- A Subject Matter Expert (SME) Panel will perform an evaluation of experience and training taken from your employment application materials.
- Our goal is to notify candidates who are selected for interviews by 1/13/2026. We will then schedule virtual first round of interviews with candidates who successfully passed the SME evaluation at the beginning of December. Panel Interviews will be held afterward.
