Learn more about living in mid-Missouri. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Performs non-invasive cardiology testing to include EKGs, SAEKGs, pacemaker phone checks, and Holter monitor application. Assists with cardiac stress testing and other non-invasive cardiology procedures. Provides patient education, preparation, and post-procedural care as defined by unit policies, procedures, and standards of care. Reports any changes in the patient's clinical presentation to the charge nurse or the patient's physician. Maintains accurate organization of files and records. Assures copies of transcriptions are filed and sent to physician offices in a timely manner. Assigns and inputs correct charges to patients. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Arrthymia course or training. EKG technician experience. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
