Coho Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Specialist to provide comprehensive design services in support of space planning, furniture systems, signage, and graphics within a high-profile federal environment at the Pentagon. This role supports the development of furniture layouts and construction documentation while ensuring compliance with tenant standards, building codes, circulation requirements, and integrated electrical and network infrastructure.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):



  • Provide CAD design services for furniture, signage, and graphic systems in office and multi-purpose environments.
  • Develop preliminary furniture plans based on tenant standards, program requirements, and existing building configurations.
  • Coordinate ongoing furniture placement within designated spaces, confirming dimensions and compliance with applicable code and circulation standards.
  • Identify and document existing furniture to be relocated and define requirements for new furniture solutions.
  • Assist tenants in establishing workstation, office size, and functional requirements.
  • Coordinate electrical and data/network requirements for offices, workstations, conference rooms, and multi-purpose spaces.
  • Conduct showroom tours and site visits to existing installations to support final furniture selections, specifications, and bid documentation.
  • Provide complete design solutions utilizing standard or standard-special furniture systems already available.
  • Prepare specifications and supporting documentation necessary for manufacturer bid procurement and assist with order review, as required.
  • Support manufacturer recommendations and coordinate the presentation of furniture mock-ups for tenant review when needed.
  • Coordinate with furniture dealers on final installation documentation, punch-list development, and follow-up until all items are resolved.
  • Collaborate with system engineers to support integration between SMS Builder and TRIRIGA, enabling the transfer of calculated data to the Real Property Inventory system.


Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Clearance:


    • Secret



  • Education and Certifications:


    • Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
    • DAWIA Level II Contracting, Contracting Professional Certification, or equivalent.



  • Experience:


    • Minimum of 10 years of experience providing computer-aided design services.
    • Demonstrated experience in furniture layout and planning, signage, and graphics.
    • Proven expertise coordinating furniture placement, construction documents, and electrical/network requirements for office and conference environments.
