Summary: Successful operation of manufacturing facility requires meeting many Federal, State and local regulations, industry codes and standards as well as internal policies and practices. The successful candidate for this position will establish a system to ensure that Senior Aerospace SSP understands and meets all compliance requirements, including periodically assessing the compliance status of critical programs, developing action and resourcing plans with responsible parties to address any identified gaps and tracking and reporting compliance status to the sites Leadership Team. The Health & Safety Specialist will work closely with management in directing occupational health and safety programs at the plant level. As well as provide support to departments to take a proactive approach to ensure compliance with regulatory codes, standards, and company policies. As a team member there will be an equal level of accountability, along with the management team, in promoting and accomplishing the environmental, health and safety initiatives at the plant level.
