Postdoctoral Research Scholar - Biology

The Department of Biology at the University of Iowa invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar Position. The position involves independently designing and executing experiments with moderate guidance from the supervisor. In addition, you will assist with training new personnel and provide mentorship to undergraduate researchers. You are expected to maintain accurate records of your experimental progress and regularly present your findings during weekly lab meetings.

Education: Applicants must have completed the requirements for a PhD in a relevant scientific field prior to starting.

The appointment carries an annual salary of no less than $62,232, commensurate with experience.

This appointment is for a minimum of one year but may be renewable dependent upon satisfactory performance and funding availability up to the 5-year maximum limit for postdoctoral appointments.
