The Platform Procurement Manager leads all facets of the IEI supply chain operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements. This role oversees all externally procured direct materials across all sites, with global responsibility for strategic planning, cost reduction strategy, supplier engagement, supplier quality, processes and procedures, supply risk management, terms and conditions

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously evaluates Global strategy and plans to meet changing economic and competitive conditions
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of global wire & cable material, manufacturing processes and trade regulatory. Develop a network of vendors and partners domestically and internationally.
  • Develop a more unified approach for our procurement activities
  • Develop annual cost-out savings programs and implement business strategies that directly affect the company financial results and growth plans
  • Develop and refine continuously the interplant production process to optimize the use our equipment to the benefit of our customers.
  • Identify metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing
  • Ensure the availability of qualified and market competitive sources of supply for company requirements
  • Monitors and ensures the efficient operation of the company and the team in the procurement of material, equipment and services
  • Identify vendor cost savings opportunities and support strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Develop strategic agreements and ensure PO release in compliance with them.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions
  • Actively participate as an SME with Marmon global procurement group on leverage spend programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required; master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years related experience in logistics, distribution, procurement, or inventory management, preferably within the wire & cable industry.
  • 8+ years managerial experience, including leading cross-functional or multi-site supply chain teams.
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP, SCOR-P, or CPSM highly preferred
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to develop vendor, supplier, and logistics relationships.
  • Experience improving supply chain processes in a top-tier industrial manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices and operational optimization.
  • Proficiency with ERP and warehouse management systems, analytics, and productivity tools.

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and presenting independent viewpoints constructively.
