Position Overview:

The Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth by managing customer relationships, delivering value-based solutions, and developing new business opportunities. This role requires strong technical expertise, strategic negotiation skills, and the ability to mentor junior sales professionals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering tailored value propositions.

  • Negotiate pricing and margins using value-selling techniques and tools to optimize profitability.

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while maintaining existing accounts.

  • Provide technical support and conduct product demonstrations independently.

  • Utilize sales processes and tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage pipeline and forecasting.

  • Deliver timely reports and collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to position H.B. Fuller advantageously.

  • Promote innovative products and technologies to strengthen market leadership.

  • Ensure compliance with all EHS requirements and company policies.

  • Mentor and train entry-level sales roles to build team capability.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical/mechanical, marketing, or chemistry field preferred.

  • At least 5 years of relevant B2B sales experience; internal candidates require 4 of 5 years with successful performance ratings.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales and profit targets.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs./25 kg.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of products, substrates, and application processes.

  • Proven ability to apply pricing strategies and deliver price increases effectively.

  • Experience leveraging supply chain knowledge to optimize customer offers.

  • Familiarity with industry trends and ability to provide strategic insights to customers.

  • Skilled in negotiation, presentation, and communication across diverse audiences.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $80,000-$105,000.
