Overview

Stores Operations is looking for a Material Analyst to join our team in the New York City region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring an adequate supply of materials to support operations. Applicants should have at least three years of supply chain experience, demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, possess solid computer proficiency, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret company specifications, parts lists, and drawings.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Purchasing, Accounting, Engineering, and Planning. Additionally, serve as a company liaison with external partners, such as manufacturers, vendors, engineers, sales representatives, and various supply and service providers.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Commit to promoting a Zero Accident Culture, embracing Diversity and Inclusion, driving Operational Excellence, supporting an effective Cost Management Culture, and consistently enhancing the customer experience.
  • Ensure that the Human Performance Improvements (HPI) tools are incorporated into daily work.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED and High school diploma or GED and at least three years of related experience in supply chain or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree and Bachelors degree or at least one year of related experience in supply chain or a related field.
Relevant Work Experience
  • The Applicant should be familiar with Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Procedures (HASPs) regarding procuring materials and services for utilization by company personnel and/or at company facilities.
  • The Applicant must take and pass the Material Analyst test at the Learning Center.
  • Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and clerical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Experience with the companys mainframe system, Oracle EBS Finance/Supply Chain, is highly preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities, while demonstrating a strong willingness to learn and work effectively in a fast-paced service environment.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Driver's License Required
  • Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS)
Physical Demands
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday
  • Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
  • Possess manual dexterity and the ability to use hands for the duration of the workday
  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and kneel throughout the workday
Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
