International Logistics Specialist - Airfreight Location: Newark, CA (100% Onsite) Pay Rate: $28-$33 per hour Contract: 6-month contract Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week Job Overview We're seeking an International Logistics Specialist to support global transportation operations with a strong focus on international airfreight, particularly shipments supporting Asia and APAC regions. This role manages end-to-end shipment execution, supports time-sensitive freight, and partners with internal teams and external logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle domestic and international shipments (booking through delivery) Coordinate international airfreight, expedited freight, and small parcel shipments Track shipment milestones and resolve delays or exceptions Partner with carriers, 3PLs, warehouses, and internal stakeholders Optimize transit times while controlling transportation costs Analyze logistics KPIs and carrier performance Communicate shipment status and issues clearly and professionally Work within ERP and TMS systems (SAP a plus) Qualifications 3-5 years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience International import/export experience (3PL preferred) Airfreight experience required (ocean or dock experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with TMS, Microsoft Office; Tableau or Smartsheet preferred Why This Role Hands-on exposure to global logistics and prototype shipment processes Support innovative, sustainability-driven transportation programs Fast-paced environment with high-impact responsibility Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD & D Insurance Are you ready to try something new?
