A Brief Overview

The Cell Therapy and Transplant Section (CTTS) in the Kelly Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting and eager to learn Program Coordinator who will join an internationally recognized clinical and research program that treats more pediatric CAR-T patients than anywhere in the world. CTTS at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is working to transform the therapeutic landscape for pediatric patients with leukemia, lymphoma and other rare diseases through transplant and cellular and gene therapies. The individual will work within a multidisciplinary, dynamic team of researchers, clinicians, administrators and staff, as part of CTTS Operations and an active contributor to the CHOP Research Institute. We are looking for a collaborative individual with strong initiative, independent critical thinking and genuine curiosity, who enjoys problem solving and taking thoughtful action. Success in this role requires accountability, excellent prioritization and organizational skills as well as strong self-direction. Our goal at CTTS is to improve the quality of life for children living with cancer and rapidly advance therapeutic options by using personalized, engineered cell therapies to treat pediatric cancer.

The Program Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Center and assist with day-to-day coordination of activities related to various research and clinical operations. They will coordinate the administrative needs of the Center, such as ordering supplies, processing invoices and reimbursements, scheduling meetings, organizing conferences, overseeing our continuing education program and organizing learners from within CHOP and from around the world. They will also be responsible for calendar management for key team members, maintaining updated CVs and biosketches, tracking publications, scheduling committee and workgroup meetings, taking meeting minutes and assisting with special projects. The Program Coordinator must be highly motivated, able to work independently, skilled at multi-tasking, and be a highly effective communicator.

What you will do

• Supervise day-to-day operations and work product
• Oversee program operations, resources and projects including develop project plans and facilitate the resolution of issues.
• Develop and enact policies and procedures, and maintain related documentation and databases.
• Collaborate across teams and serve as the primary liaison for the program.
• Oversee and participate in team, project and program meetings.
• Manage and maintain operating budget, supplies and resources.
• Maintain program metrics and related tools and regularly reports results.
• Monitor and support related finance, accounting and billing functions.
• Coordinate information collection, compilation and dissemination as required.
• Provide advanced administrative support as needed.
• Perform other duties and projects as required.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of administration, coordination or program experience Required and
• At least one (1) year of leadership, management, or supervisory experience Required
• At least five (5) years of administration, coordination or program experience Preferred
• At least three (3) years of leadership, management, or supervisory experience Preferred
• At least three (3) years of experience in a healthcare related environment Preferred
