Job Description




A Special Police has skills that meet all state training requirements and who have completed additional specialized training. Education and certification of a Special Police includes specialized law enforcement training approved by the state. In Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play an important role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a dynamic healthcare location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to assist with the prevention of security-related incidents, and interacting with staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism and compassion. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to respond promptly to incidents while representing Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential issues.
  • Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms as required by the post profile.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and other Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and/or concerns within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
  • A law enforcement officer license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
