Security Officer - Residential Patrol Coverage

As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol Coverage in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will actively monitor and patrol the premises to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your presence will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, as you interact with residents and visitors and provide exceptional customer service. You will respond to situations as they arise and communicate clearly and professionally. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, maintenance issues, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities and support residents and staff during urgent situations as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and promote a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Being at least 21 years of age is required.
• Experience working at limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
