Description

Overview/Function: The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of local service technicians, and managing the service and repair of cold drink equipment, and equipment delivery.

Major Responsibilities:



  • Schedule planned activities for customer site equipment installations and repairs.
  • Manage market ready equipment inventories, parts inventories/ordering/receiving, after hour call rotation, and pre-install support to sales.
  • Train and develop staff in order to effectively troubleshoot problems and to minimize downtime and customer inconvenience.
  • Work with the service team to perform planned and unplanned service work, and installation. Provide support to Sales through pre-install surveys and expedited installations.
  • Order, receive, and maintain parts inventory.
  • Maintain market-ready equipment inventory for Sales center.
  • Manage all equipment flow to and from made-ready center (MRC).
  • Ensure corporate service-level metrics are being met.
  • Identify and support growth opportunities to help increase revenue.
  • Direct management responsibilities including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, training, performance management, motivation, discipline, and career development.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Develop staffing plans to ensure service metrics are met.
  • Develop, train, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for department.
  • Ensure professional contact with customers, and maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times in order to favorably represent the company and iconic Coca-Cola brand image.
  • Ethical conduct is expected at all times.
  • Develop and share best practices where appropriate to ensure the increased efficiency of the business.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications:



  • High school diploma/GED with 2-5 years of previous experience with equipment service/maintenance.
  • One year of personnel management.
  • Strong mechanical and technical capacity.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and quickly resolve problems within assigned timeline.
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow service directions and work orders; follow all standard operating procedures and safety requirements/protocols.
  • Good verbal and pleasant communication skills to interact with co-workers and customers. Provide professional contact and appearance with customers which upholds Atlantic Bottlings brand image.
  • Strong problem resolution and analytical thinking skills.
  • Customer-focused and an excellent team-player.
  • Ability to analyze and effectively solve complex problems, while dealing with stressful situations.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
  • Some computer experience is helpful.
  • Consistent, regular attendance is an essential job function.



Additional:



  • The role will travel to various customer sites; each environment will differ as a result.
  • This position is very active and requires regular manual finger, hand, and arm dexterity, and to potentially work around cramped and tight spaces. Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day will be required. The employee may frequently lift and/or move items over 55 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The role will frequently interact with customers. The ability to climb stairs is also needed.
  • Extensive day travel will be required with this role (approximately 80%).
  • The supervisor also has budget responsibility including ongoing operating expense, equipment, fleet and significant part inventories.
  • The work hours will mostly be Monday-Friday role (8:00 am 5:00 pm) however some evening and weekend work may be required as emergency and un-scheduled repairs will be needed.
  • This role is considered a safety sensitive position.
