The Role

As a Senior Manager Coach within the Lumen Transformation Office, you will play a critical role in driving strategic execution and cultural transformation across two of Lumen's most significant initiatives: "Bend the Curve" (focused on growth and operational excellence) and "Cloudify" (modernizing the network with cloud-native technologies for scalable, agile, and customer-centric digital services). Reporting into the Transformation Leadership Team, this highly consultative and hands-on position blends coaching, consulting, and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate performance, accountability, and transformation outcomes.

As a trusted advisor and change agent, you will partner with leaders and teams across product, sales, marketing, operations, IT, and finance to drive transformation. Your focus will be instilling a growth mindset, fostering high performance and ownership, and ensuring initiatives progress toward strategic goals.

You'll work closely with agile teams, executive sponsors, and technical leads to delivering tailored, impactful coaching aligned with Lumen's transformation objectives. While deep technical expertise in cloud technologies isn't required, a solid understanding of cloud concepts and architecture is essential to guide teams through cloudification.

The Main Responsibilities

Strategic Coaching & Influence

  • Provide coaching and consultative support to initiative leaders and team members to improve execution, ownership, and accountability with a focus on delivering transformation and growth results.
  • Champion a culture of accountability and ownership by setting clear expectations with initiative owners and regularly reviewing outcomes and KPIs, ensuring responsibility for results.
  • Foster alignment and collaboration across functions (Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, Finance) to ensure all stakeholders are working toward common transformation goals.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively with senior stakeholders, helping to define and prioritize key initiatives.

Execution & Impact

  • Track progressfinan of both cloud and core services growth initiatives, ensuring targets and milestones are met.
  • Hold teams accountable for their commitments, reinforcing execution discipline and timely delivery.
  • Proactively identify risks, roadblocks, or delays in initiatives, facilitating problem-solving and escalating issues as necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Apply go-to-market and cloud expertise to guide initiatives, ensuring consultative support considers market impact, customer experience, and commercial viability of execution plans.
  • Collaborate with business finance to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of Growth initiative financials, sharing insights with stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability.
  • Track and review ongoing Growth transformation initiative reports, analyzing trends, variances, and issues; proactively communicating with leadership, business, and financial partners to address concerns and ensure initiatives stay on course.
What We Look For in a Candidate

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in strategic execution, coaching, or transformation, or 5+ years with an MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Highly adaptable, impact-driven problem solver with a bias for action and creative thinking.
  • Proven ability to lead through complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous business challenges, structuring thoughtful solutions and driving strategic initiatives to deliver results.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with exceptional influencing, relationship-building, and communication skills to build credibility with executives and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in optimizing operational processes, developing strategic business cases, and conducting modeling/sensitivity analysis to achieve financial and performance goals.
  • Strong technical understanding of cloud concepts and architectures is essential for guiding teams through Cloudify initiatives.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the telecommunications landscape and operating principles preferred.
  • Experience leading or supporting go-to-market teams in sales, marketing, customer experience, or other revenue-generating teams.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA
