Worthington Enterprises, Inc. seeks Sr. Software Developer at its facility located at 1205 Dearborn Drive, Columbus, OH 43085. JOB DESCRIPTION: Design, develop, test, and maintain business solutions across multiple functional areas in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne with the focus of quality in mind. Responsible for the quality of the application through review and approval of technical design documents, code review, and testing of developed applications. Establish and maintain relationships with the systems lead, business analysts, and other IT functional areas. Participate in requirements gathering or clarification in conjunction with the business analysts and product owners. Lead the design discussions with various stakeholders to ensure both the functional and technical aspects of the design are understood and agreed upon by the respective parties. Provide accurate estimates for the task on hand. Develop code to the standards with quality always being the priority. Demonstrate strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills. Meet the commitments in a sprint and escalate risks in a timely manner. Perform peer review and help share the knowledge with other developers in the team. Test the application thoroughly before progressing to the next phase in SDLC. Accountable in delivering a quality product. Adhere to Worthington Agile methodology and SDLC framework. Hybrid telecommuting permitted; 2 days per week in office required. REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Utilizing JD Edwards Development technologies (OMW, DD, RDA, FDA, NER, BSFN, Workflow, BI Publisher, Debugging) to manage JD Edwards objects, design data structures and reports, customize forms, automate business logic, optimize performance, and troubleshoot system issues; (2) Utilizing scripting language including Python, Groovy, and Java Script to build automation, and data processing to integrate with JD Edwards; (3) Implementing end to end knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to create and maintain technical documentation for developed applications and modifications; (4) Utilizing techno-functional aspects of multiple JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application modules including financial, distribution, and manufacturing to support team members and business analysts in designing new functionalities and enhancements to maintain application stability and performance; (5) Leveraging BI Publisher to design, create, and publish reports in PDF, XML, and Excel formats, and print barcodes using RTF templates and external fonts for various labels and tags; and (6) Utilizing RFID technology to encode Hexadecimal, ASCII, and UCC standards, enabling the generation of RFID-enabled tags/labels for tracking products throughout the supply chain to reduce cycle counts and improve inventory management. | |
