Job Summary

A Peer Educator is responsible to attend, participate in and assist with development, planning, facilitation and evaluation of youth groups and programs offered by the Beaumont Teen Health Center - Taylor (BTHC-T) These programs include mandatory weekly peer educator training, after-school and summer programs, educational presentations, and community events.

Essential Functions
  • Attend Peer Educator Basic Skills Training at BTHC-T
  • Attend weekly Peer Educator Training at BTHC-T
  • Participate in training sessions by asking questions, offering comments, and participating in activities.
  • Demonstrate commitment to program goals by attending training, presentations and programs scheduled to work.
  • Communicate and interact with youth, teens, adults, and prevention staff in effective ways.
  • Represent BTHC-T at events as determined by the Lead Substance Abuse Prevention Counselor/Program Manager.
  • Service Excellence/Patient-Participant Family Care Model.
  • Attend work on schedule.
