Our growing company is in need of a Product Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in Fort Worth, TX. The Product Manager is accountable for managing a specific product type / category / class or specific supplier to (1) provide the correct mix/inventory levels of products required to meet customer needs and sales requirements; (2) minimize costs/maximize profits through effective inventory management, purchasing decisions, and supplier relationships; (3) enhance the image of TTI in the marketplace as the distributor of choice; and (4) achieve corporate sales, gross profit margin and pre-tax profit goals.

Our Product Managers Team:



  • Develops and manages a productive Product Team by hiring qualified people, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, rewarding higher levels of performance and by providing effective training development and succession planning.
  • Effectively manages inventory within company goals for assigned product type / category / class or supplier in order to maintain correct mix that meets corporate financial objectives and customer requirements.
  • Supports sales to increase business and achieve total customer satisfaction by working directly with suppliers on quotes to obtain the most competitive position possible.
  • Consults with TTI sales representatives regarding customer needs, product features, product availability, cost issues, etc. in order to maximize potential for sales representative success. Provides ongoing education/promotion when interacting with sales organization to effectively market product type or supplier.
  • Develops and maintains successful supplier relationships and provides product solutions/unique advantages to suppliers and customers so that TTI is considered the preferred partner for suppliers and the preferred provider of products for customers.
  • Maintains system integrity by ensuring that TTI systems/databases reflect accurate, comprehensive and up-to date product-related information (increment quantity, minimum order quantities, correct costs, delivery information, etc) for assigned product type or supplier.
  • Processes and resolves accounting, receiving and customer rejected concerns in an expeditious manner by researching the issue, determining appropriate resolution and by providing disposition for nonconforming product to the appropriate parties.


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field or equivalent related work experience preferred.
  • Three years of progressive industry related experience required including product management, distribution, asset management, sales, marketing, etc., or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated success in managing supplier relationships preferably within electronic component distribution industry.
  • Proven track record in strategic decision-making for inventory and cost management.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) at the intermediate level required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking.
  • Decision-making in complex purchasing scenarios.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and product lifecycle.
