Key Responsibilities

The Head of Sales Engineering, Americas will lead a regional team of Sales Engineers, driving the technical pre-sales strategy across the North and Latin America regions. You will partner closely with regional Sales leadership to define the go-to-market approach, elevate the technical capabilities of the team, and ensure customers receive exceptional technical guidance and value throughout their journey.

This is a leadership role requiring both strategic vision and hands-on technical expertise in cybersecurity, particularly within the SaaS and Threat Intelligence domains.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and Develop the SE Organization: Recruit, mentor, and coach a team of high-performing Sales Engineers across the Americas region. Establish a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Strategic Partnering: Work closely with the Regional Sales VP and global SE leadership to define and execute the regional technical sales strategy, aligning with business goals and revenue targets.
  • Customer and Partner Engagement: Act as a senior technical advisor and trusted partner to key enterprise customers and channel partners, helping to shape and influence cybersecurity strategies.
  • Technical Evangelism: Represent Check Point's Cyberint platform in regional events, conferences, and strategic customer meetings. Articulate technical value in a way that resonates with executive and technical audiences alike.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive consistency in pre-sales processes, proof-of-value engagements, and RFP/RFI responses. Implement best practices and ensure the team delivers an exceptional customer experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, R&D, and Marketing teams to provide field insights, influence roadmap priorities, and align product capabilities to customer needs.
  • Hands-On Leadership: While this is primarily a leadership role, you will remain technically credible - able to step into complex customer discussions or technical validations as needed.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in technical, customer-facing roles (Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or equivalent) within the cybersecurity industry.
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading regional or multi-country technical teams.
  • Experience in SaaS cybersecurity - ideally with Cyber Threat Intelligence, OSINT, Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), or related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, and exploitation techniques.
  • Proven ability to build and scale teams, establish regional processes, and drive results through influence and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and presentation skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and regional stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to travel 30-50%.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.


Advantageous



  • Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.
  • Experience working with global organizations or matrixed environments.
  • Deep understanding of the cybersecurity market landscape and customer ecosystem.
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
