We have an ambitious vision and a complex portfolio of programs that enable Tesla's future. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer focused on Energy Service to join our team. The role is to provide experience and expertise in setting up and maintaining facilities dedicated to holding service inventory. The role will bridge the gap between engineering, service, and operations - driving process efficiency, system reliability and material readiness. In this role, you will streamline workflows and develop solutions to help service technicians troubleshoot issues faster and improve uptime across our deployed energy fleet. The Process Engineer will also lead the deployment of new storage solutions to ensure Just-In-Time availability to parts.
What You'll Do
- Process Optimization: Identify, design and implement process improvements across field service workflows to enhance response times and optimize part utilization
- Technical Field Support: Collaborate with field service team to troubleshoot complex system issues impacting supply chain and ensure accurate root cause analysis
- Material Readiness: Partner with supply chain to streamline material flow, improve visibility of parts in-transit and facilitate material returns
- Storage & Inventory Solutions: Project manage launch of storage solutions and quick access solutions across multiple regions to improve technician access to critical parts and minimize service delays
- System Integration: Support digital tool and WMS enhancements to improve material orders, data capture and reporting
- Performance Analysis: Monitor KPIs and provide data driven insights to leadership
- Continuous Improvement: Develop standard work instructions, process flows and service documentation to reduce non-value-added time and improve process reliability
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in process or field service engineering within energy, manufacturing or industrial systems
- Previous experience and knowledge of ERP systems (WARP, MOS/MES, SAP or equivalent)
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping and continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Attention to detail and a commitment to identifying data inaccuracies
- Ability to work independently on daily tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment while being adaptable to changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate data analysis and collaborate effectively across Warehouse stakeholders
