Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the technology vision and IT operations for the Motion and Energy (MOEN) Business Unit within Nidec. As part of a fast-growing, M&A-driven organization, theCIOwill play a critical role in developing and executing the IT roadmap, driving integration strategies, and aligning technology capabilities with business objectives.

Job Description

  • IT Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and implement a forward-looking IT strategy that aligns with the business unit's aggressive growth goals.
  • System Consolidation & Modernization: Identify and execute system harmonization opportunities across many different ERPs and other core platforms. Drive standardization while accommodating unique business unit needs.
  • IT OrganizationManagement:Lead and manage the global IT team, ensuring they have the skills and resources to meet the company's needs.Review current structure and propose next phase of IT organizational design to meet business and IT goals.
  • M&A Integration Leadership:Lead due diligence and post-acquisition integration of IT systems, infrastructure, and data. Ensure smooth transitions with minimal business disruption.
  • Governance & Compliance:Ensure adherence to group-level IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements across the business unit's operations. Implement and maintain security measures to protect the company's data and systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Act as the key liaison between the business unit leadership and the corporate IT function. Facilitate alignment of priorities, budgets, and resources.
  • IT Operations Oversight:Oversee IT operations, including vendor management, IT procurement, service delivery, and user support. Manage the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and systems, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and efficient.
  • Innovation & Digital Transformation:Champion emerging technologies and data-driven decision-making. Lead digital initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • 20+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, includingCIOor equivalent roles within multi-entity organizations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful IT strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, networking, data security, and other relevant technologies.
  • Ability to manage IT projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Proven success leading IT integration efforts in M&A-heavy environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and to build relationships with executives and other stakeholders.
  • Understands marketplace trends and implements innovative solutions and improvements.
  • Handles ambiguity, influences others, and finds ways to move initiatives forward to meet critical deadlines and produce results.
  • Strong work ethic combined with the flexibility to travel as needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (MBA or similar a plus)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience defining and implementing an IT roadmap for a complex global organization.
  • Background in manufacturing, engineering, or other M&A-intensive sectors.
  • Extensive experience leading and developing IT professionals and translating vision into action.
  • Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.
