Fishbeck is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Municipal Civil Engineer to join our Toledo office. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in municipal water main, sanitary sewer, and local road design who are passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, brings strong technical and communication skills, and enjoys working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams.


What You'll Do


  • Lead and support planning and design efforts for municipal water, sewer, and road projects.
  • Perform design calculations, develop cost estimates, quantify bid items, and prepare reports and CAD drawings.
  • Create design documents and specifications for bidding.
  • Assist with project management tasks and client communications.
  • Collaborate with technical staff across Fishbeck offices to deliver consulting services.
  • Participate in proposal development and qualifications submissions.
  • Engage with project teams in a multi-discipline, multi-office environment.



What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio (or ability to obtain)
  • 5+ years of experience in utility and local roadway design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong technical and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
  • Self-motivated and organized

Minimum Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in an office setting and travel to project sites. Ability to maneuver around construction areas, attend meetings, and use technical equipment for documentation. Visual acuity and spatial awareness are essential.
