USF Health Neuroscience Institute

University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida

The USF Health Neuroscience Institute is seeking candidates for tenured or tenure-earning positions at all ranks who conduct research on the molecular basis of neurological disorders. Areas of focus may include Parkinson's disease, ALS-FTD, ataxia, Huntington's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke/vascular/Alzheimer's dementia, traumatic brain injury, substance abuse disorders, or related neurological and psychiatric disorders. Successful candidates are expected to have already established a nationally recognized, competitively funded research program (NIH R01 or equivalent) or demonstrate the potential to develop one. They will also be expected to participate in graduate/medical student education and mentoring. Depending on their research focus, recruited faculty members will be appointed to one of the three clinical departments: Neurology, Psychiatry & Behavioral Neurosciences, or Neurosurgery, Brain, and Spine, within the USF Morsani College of Medicine. Qualified candidates will be offered institutional salary support commensurate with their experience, along with highly competitive start-up packages that promote success.

The Neuroscience Institute and affiliated departments are located on the Tampa campus of USF Health, which includes the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and the Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Neuroscience Institute is a state-of-the-art, interdisciplinary facility that houses three floors of clinical space, three floors of laboratory space, and a vivarium. Successful candidates will establish their labs in the Neuroscience Institute or at one of our many research facilities and have access to cutting-edge infrastructure and outstanding core facilities.

Qualified applicants should apply on the USF Careers Website, accessible through the link https://jobs.usf.edu/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/USF/job/41944?keyword=41944&mode=location or enter Job ID 41944.
