Position description

Part-time lecturer position available for the Department of Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. Percentage of employment will vary according to number of courses taught.

DUTIES: Teach lecture courses on molecular, cell, and developmental biology, cancer, metabolism, epigenetics, stem cell biology, politics and ethics; biomedical ethics; plant development and plant environment interactions; and other topics as needed. Plan and coordinate discussion activities for multiple sections of courses; supervise course teaching assistants; manage the acquisition and maintenance of course materials; supervise student projects; and maintain office hours.

TERM OF APPOINTMENT: Winter 2026 and/or Spring 2026 quarters.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications

PhD in Biological Sciences is required. Demonstrated experience in undergraduate teaching at the university level; experience with hands-on laboratory research and instruction in the biological sciences . Level of appointment and salary commensurate with qualifications, experience and duties.
