Overview

NaphCare is growing and we have an excellent opportunity for an Internal Communications Manager to join our team on-site at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL.

The Internal Communications Manager ensures employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the organization's vision, strategy, and values. This role connects leadership messages to frontline understanding-helping every employee see how their work contributes to the bigger picture.

Key purposes include:

    Building transparency and trust between leadership and employees.
  • Strengthening company culture through storytelling and consistent messaging.
  • Driving engagement by ensuring employees understand goals, priorities, and updates.
  • Managing communication channels (intranet, newsletters, town halls, internal campaigns).
  • Supporting change management initiatives through clear, timely communication.


Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Partner with HR, Marketing, and Operations to coordinate consistent messaging.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute internal content such as announcements, newsletters, leadership messages, and intranet updates.
  • Plan and manage employee engagement campaigns, culture initiatives, and town halls.
  • Measure communication effectiveness through surveys, analytics, and feedback loops.
  • Advise leaders on tone, clarity, and timing for key communications.
  • Manage internal branding to reflect the company's mission and values.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years in corporate communications, internal communications, or employee engagement.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with digital communication tools and platforms.

  • Quality control-the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Adaptability-the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Dependability-the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.


WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Long periods of sitting at a desk performing light physical work, including working at a computer terminal.
  • Light physical work involving lifting and carrying.
  • Talking and listening to communicate ideas or requirements to individual staff members.
  • Visual acuity to listen attentively and accurately.
