OVERVIEW
Merrick & Company is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to manage our onboarding process and provide key support to the HR team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for early career candidates with 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources or Office Administration to grow their skills and broaden their professional experience. The HR Coordinator will work on-site during regular business hours (8:00am-5:00pm). With more than 25 offices across the United States, Canada, the UK, and Mexico, Merrick offers a collaborative and global work environment. This position is based in our Greenwood Village, CO office and reports to a Human Resources Business Partner, while supporting broader HR initiatives across the team. Hourly pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct new hire orientation and complete all new hire onboarding activities including HRIS data entry and information management.
- Assist in first-line inquiries for employees in a professional and helpful manner by asking questions and/or directing them to the appropriate HR contact.
- Maintain HR systems, manage employee files, maintain I9 compliance tracking, employment posters, and other functions as requested.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with HR teammates and coworkers outside of the department.
- Work in an open environment with frequent visitors and discussions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- One (1) or more years of experience working in a Human Resources department.
- Demonstrated experience responding to employee inquiries on human resources matters.
- Experience using HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) systems.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to focus and manage daily work amid typical office sounds and activity.
- Local candidates only.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
- Experience with UKG (HRIS system).
- Experience supporting multiple office locations.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience in a human resources support capacity.
