Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a SAP Support Lead to join our Manufacturing department based in Mobile, AL.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive SAP Support Lead to champion the effective use of SAP on our shop floor. This pivotal role involves enhancing user proficiency, ensuring data integrity, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will act as the primary SAP resource for our operations team, providing hands-on training, troubleshooting system issues, and leading projects to optimize workflows. This position requires a deep understanding of SAP functionality, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and reports.

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Training & User Enablement: 20%

* Champion shop-wide progression and user adoption of SAP by providing expert, hands-on support and guidance.

* Develop, update, and deliver technical training materials, including presentations and support documents, for various SAP modules and processes.

* Serve as the first point of contact for technical support, effectively troubleshooting and resolving user-reported system problems.

* Track and document all training sessions and user progress to ensure comprehensive team development.

  • Data Integrity & System Maintenance: 50%

* Oversee the accuracy and consistency of data within the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module, performing regular data cleanup and integrity checks.

* Collaborate closely with the procurement team to maintain and validate Material Master Data (MMD), ensuring system-wide accuracy.

* Utilize advanced system permissions to execute data cleaning, archiving, and maintenance tasks to preserve the health of the system.

  • Process Improvement & Analysis: 30%

* May lead internal projects within the tool shop to implement new, more efficient SAP-based processes.

* Analyze data and run reports on an ad-hoc basis to provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and critical insights to leadership.

* Collaborate with global counterparts to learn best practices, evaluate business processes, and implement solutions that improve workflow efficiency.

  • Other Duties as assigned.

Your boarding pass:

  • Required Education: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working extensively with SAP in a manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial environment.

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • In absence of a degree a minimum of 5 years Experience of mentioned job responsibilities is required.

  • Required Experience: Expert-level knowledge of SAP, particularly in modules related to plant maintenance, materials management, or procurement.

  • Proven experience developing and delivering technical training to a diverse audience.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to query databases, analyze results, and generate clear, concise reports and KPIs.

  • High proficiency in Google Workspace, including advanced functions in Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, scripts), Slides, and Docs.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects or implementing process improvements.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: Able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.

  • Hearing: Able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

  • Speaking: Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.

  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.

  • Carrying: Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

  • Lifting: Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

  • Pushing/Pulling: Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

  • Sitting: Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.

  • Squatting/Kneeling: Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

  • Standing: Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.

  • Travel: Able to travel independently and at short notice.

  • Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
