Description Sheet Metal Laborer Position Identification: Non-Exempt Reports to:Operations Manager Position Summary: The basic function of the Sheet Metal Laborer is to provide the labor required for the day to day field operations on the jobs assigned to him, to follow the instructions and guidelines of the assessment and to ensure that all quality standards are met. Job Functions: * Complete work in a professional safe manner and to the specification, & satisfaction of the customer * * Assist Sheet Metal Craftsman To ensure that proper maintenance procedures are performed on all company property and equipment used on the job * * * * Perform any other duties as may be assigned Must possess hand-eye coordination to use hand tools Ability to perform hard physical labor Ability to lift, unaided, 75 pounds Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential): * * High school graduate or equivalent 1-2 years sheet metal experience Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable): Key Competencies: Occupational Health and Safety: * * * Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace Working Conditions: Sheet Metal Laborer 4/2020 Physical surroundings:Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature Physical Effort:Walking, turning, stooping and reaching for and carrying materials, stepping over and around obstacles, climbing ladders and scaffolding.Ability to lift, unaided, 75 pounds.Must hear well enough to understand oral directions.Must see to read forms, labels, directions, prints, and specifications.
