Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Social Worker.

In this role, the successful candidate NYU Langone Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program. This role is integral to our multidisciplinary care model, supporting patients with chronic and complex needs through both clinical and advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate will be deeply invested in the CF and non-CF care community and will contribute to both direct patient care and broader program initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide psychosocial support and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to adult CF patients and their families.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other allied health professionals.

Lead and organize patient advocacy group meetings to foster community engagement and support.

Coordinate and facilitate quarterly town halls for patients and families.

Develop and distribute quarterly newsletters to keep the CF community informed and connected.

Assist patients in navigating access to complex therapeutic services and mental health resources.

Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Masters Degree in social work, or its equivalent (e.g. a higher degree from a social work program that is registered by the New York State Education Department as qualifying for licensure), from a recognized college or university program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) New York State licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a New York Education Department-issued limited permit.

Required Licenses: Lic Master Social Worker

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Prefer license as a LCSW. Preferes the individual needs to be vested in the CF (and non CF) multidisciplinary care model as it will comprise other responsibilities such as helping to organize town halls, putting together quarterly newsletters, leading patient advocacy group meetings. Masters degree in Psychology or related field.Experience working in an academic medical center or with chronic illness populations.Strong organizational and communication skills.Passion for patient advocacy and community engagement.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $31,570.17 - $31,570.17 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
