Summary of the Job:

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to lead FNBO's enterprise API strategy and drive digital transformation initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing our API ecosystem to support seamless integration across banking services, enhance customer experiences, and enable innovative financial products.

About This Role:

Key Responsibilities

* Develop enterprise API strategy and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements

* Lead API Center of Excellence

* Design scalable, secure, resilient API architectures

* Evolve API standards, governance frameworks, and best practices with Enterprise Architecture team

* Champion design-first/contract first API methodologies and mentor teams on API design principles and microservices architecture

* Implement API monitoring, analytics, documentation standards, and lifecycle management processes

* Explore emerging protocols (MCP, WebSocket/SSE); develop asynchronous API patterns and event schema governance

* Stay current with API standards and update internal guidance accordingly

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

* 10+ years of experience in software development/architecture with 5+ years focused on architecture

* Strong experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-based architecture

* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

* Knowledge of banking systems, payment processing, or financial services technology

* Understanding of OAuth, JWT, and API security best practices

* Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization

* Experience with API mocking, testing, and validation using OpenAPI specification

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $105,443.00-$179,253.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work onsite at the posted location.
