Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The SHRA Salary Administration Coordinator exercises responsibility for entering all SHRA personnel actions into Banner using approved source documents such as commitment letters, reclassification documents, and employee exit documents.

The SHRA Salary Admin Coordinator requires knowledge of all OSHR and UNCW SHRA salary administration policies. The position reviews documents for compliance with policies and works with talent acquisition and classification and compensation specialists in HR for problem resolution.

The position manages the monthly new hire reporting; annual compensated leave reporting, and annual leave audit. The Coordinator serves as subject matter expert for time-keeping policies/procedures for campus and trains campus employees and conducts annual audits to ensure compliance.

The position serves as backup to HR Leave Keeping Specialist.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Graduation from a four year college or university; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience

  • Ability to understand and translate/communicate federal, state and UNCW policies and procedures to a variety of individuals across campus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to recognize and prevent data integrity issues for Banner and UNC Datamart.
  • Ability to train end-users and provide technical support for complex business processes such as time-keeping.
  • Ability to serve as part of a team while providing subject matter expertise to guide campus wide processes (i.e. Time-sheet testing.)
