Food Pantry & Facilities Worker/ Driver

The Salvation located in Kirkville, Missouri, is looking for a Food Pantry & Facilities Worker/ Driver! This individual will assist with food rescue, recycling, disaster response, groundskeeping and maintenance tasks.

This is a part-time 20 hours per week, $13.75per hour.

Essential Functions

• Food Rescue: Assist in the collection and distribution of surplus food to those in need.
• Store Recycling: Support recycling initiatives within the store to promote environmental sustainability.
• Disaster Services: Participate in emergency response efforts, including preparation, coordination, and support during disaster events.
• Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility grounds, including landscaping and outdoor upkeep.
• Janitorial: Perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
• Maintenance: Conduct basic maintenance and repairs to ensure the facility remains safe and operational.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
2. Capacity to stand for extended periods, with occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
3. Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of client information.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to foster effective working relationships.

Other Qualifications:
Must hold a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to operate Salvation Army or personal vehicles for work-related purposes.
