REQUIREMENTS: ALL Applicants must be:



  • 18 years of Age
  • Able to Pass a Drug Test
  • Legally Eligible to Work in the US


Primary Function: Assist Staff Accountant and Accounting Manager on various daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks.

Typical Duties:

Assist with the month-end closing process



  • Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Prepare month-end adjusting entries for revenue, cost to complete, intercompany revenue, and job costs
  • Work with the other Corporate Departments to ensure required monthly responsibilities are completed


Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules



  • Reconcile and analyze all costs and revenue associated with construction contracts
  • Prepare all supporting schedules for financial statements
  • Prepare ratio analysis and debt covenant calculations


Additional Duties



  • Prepare/complete certain daily, weekly, and monthly Accounting department tasks
  • Reconcile annual budgets in ERP system (COINS OA)
  • Perform COINS OA upgrade testing for accounting-related items
  • Assist with the annual financial statement audit: prepare confirmations, reports, workpapers, and footnotes for audited financial statements
  • Cross training with Staff Accountant and Accounting Manager for departmental coverage


Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:



  • 4-year Accounting degree plus two years accounting experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license desired
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Accounting system)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain confidentiality of accounting information
  • Team player attitude
