Summary of the Job:

The Partner Segment Technology leader is responsible for driving application strategy, modernization, and disciplined software delivery across the Partner segment. This role oversees the full application portfolio, including business-aligned technologies for their assigned segment, while setting standards for software engineering practices, agile delivery, and platform consistency.

This Segment Leader plays a key role in ensuring the scalability, resiliency, and long-term sustainability of FNBO's technology ecosystem. The leader must balance strategic ecosystem modernization with the ability to meet business-specific needs through collaboration with the business and enterprise technology teams. This role will also champion core modernization initiatives and enterprise architecture alignment, while fostering a strong leadership bench and a high-performing culture.

About This Role:

This role is on-site in Omaha, Nebraska. We are unable to sponsor at this time. No 3rd parties or agencies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a 1-3-year segment application strategy, including modernization of technology platforms and digital experience capabilities.

  • Serve as the primary technology partner to their assigned segment's leadership, translating business needs into scalable, secure, and compliant technology solutions.

  • Oversee the application delivery portfolio across their assigned business segment, ensuring performance, resiliency, and user-centric design.

  • Implement enterprise software engineering practices, including agile delivery frameworks, DevOps practices, and platform reuse standards.

  • Align segment application strategy with enterprise architecture, security practices, and infrastructure to ensure integrated, scalable, and compliant technology solutions.

  • Drive platform rationalization and legacy system retirement to reduce complexity, technical debt, and cost over time.

  • Manage technology investment planning and vendor relationships related to segment applications and software delivery tooling.

  • Build and sustain a high-performing team that balances business acumen with technical depth and supports leadership pipeline development.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field / experience.

  • 10+ years of technology leadership experience.

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams supporting technology in the Financial Industry, preferably Credit Card systems

  • Proven track record of leading platform transformation and business-aligned technology strategies.

  • Deep experience in agile delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and vendor governance.

  • Strong ability to communicate complex technology strategies in clear, business-relevant terms to business leaders and stakeholders.
