About Marvell

Marvell's semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.

At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

Marvell's Coherent DSP team develops state-of-the-art mixed signal analog and digital signal processing solutions for optical interconnects using coherent technology, which are critical for connecting hyperscaler data centers across distances of 20km to 1000km, and beyond. Our portfolio includes industry-leading products like Canopus and Deneb for 400G transmission, Orion for 800G, and next generation 1.6T platforms that enable high-performance optical connectivity for AI cluster, cloud, and telecom networks.

What You Can Expect

As an Applications Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting our coherent DSP solutions while working alongside experienced engineers. Your responsibilities will include:

* Testing and Validation: Participate in testing and validation activities for Marvell's coherent DSP solutions in optical system platforms under supervision

* Problem-Solving Support: Assist in debugging optical, analog, and signal processing problems replicating customer implementations

* Technical Documentation: Prepare chart reviews and short briefs summarizing your project test results and recommendations.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including analog, digital, DSP, system, optical and firmware teams to solve problems.

* Component Characterization: Support characterization and validation of high-speed electro-optic components such as drivers, Mach Zehnder modulators, ICRs, and lasers

* Test Development: Assist in developing automated test solutions and analysis tools for optical modules and test platforms

* Learning Opportunities: Participate in technical training sessions on Marvell's coherent DSP solutions

* Project Participation: Work on meaningful projects that contribute to the team's objectives and business goals

* Marvell Connection: Connect with engineers and leaders at Marvell spanning a variety of disciplines and, through this interaction, learn about trends and nuances in the semiconductor industry.
