Job Summary At Prevea, our Respiratory Therapists provide respiratory care services, pulmonary function testing, and patient education in collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers. They serve as a patient advocate and clinical resource, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate respiratory care. They need to demonstrate technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service in a clinic environment.
What you will do
- Clinical Testing & Treatment- Perform pulmonary function testing, methacholine challenge tests, six-minute walk assessments, and other diagnostic procedures. Obtain and record vital signs accurately. Assist with ventilator management and airway support as needed. Monitor and document patient responses and test results precisely.
- Patient Education & Advocacy - Educate patients and families on procedures, proper equipment use, and respiratory disease management. Support patients in understanding their treatment plans and promote adherence for optimal outcomes. Serve as an advocate for patient safety, comfort, and wellbeing.
- Patient Experience -Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure efficient scheduling and smooth clinic flow. Provide direct patient interaction with professionalism and empathy. Respond promptly to patient and provider questions or concerns.
- Equipment & Quality Control - Maintain, calibrate, and perform safety checks on respiratory and testing equipment. Ensure compliance with quality assurance, infection control, and safety standards. Report and document any equipment malfunctions or safety issues.
Experience Qualifications
- 1-3 years Current clinical experience in respiratory therapy. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year current clinical experience Preferred

- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR), computer systems, and standard office and clinical equipment.
Licenses and Certifications
- CPR/BLS Certification-Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program. Upon Hire Required
- Respiratory Therapist License issued by the state of WI Upon Hire Required
