Remove trash and cardboard and deposit in compactor and baler and conduct other maintenance functions. Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities: Operates a snowblower and shovel to remove snow and ice from decks, walkways. Operate trash compactor and cardboard baler. Must present a neat, clean and safe appearance and deal with guests and owners in a pleasant, service-oriented manner. Utility Worker will perform other maintenance duties as needed or as directed by Facility and Grounds Manager. Secondary Responsibilities: Must have or be willing to obtain extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities. Will initiate guest contact on a daily basis to ensure their comfort, answer questions and provide general assistance whenever possible. Other duties as assigned. Specific Job Skills: License/Certifications - Valid Driver's license preferred. Technical - None Physical Capabilities - Able to stand or walk up to 8 hours a day, lift up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs with assistance. Will be expected to be outside in all weather conditions. Additional - some mechanical knowhow is preferred, able to minor repairs on snowblowers. Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required - English reading, writing, communication and basic math. Minimum time in related position - Entry Level
