Our Transportation Planning group is looking to hire an intern in our Tampa location. This position is intended to be full time in Summer 2026 with possibility of starting part time in Spring 2025.

Please note: HDR does not provide any financial assistance for relocation or housing expenses related to this position.

In the role of Transportation Planning Intern, we'll count on you to:

- Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects

- Connect with other interns, recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs

- Apply standard planning techniques and procedures

- Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager

- Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

- Masters candidates with a 3.0+ GPA

- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry

- GIS experience a plus

- Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
