The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Maintenance Mechanic/Plumber must have knowledge and skills to perform; Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Locksmith, carpentry, and painting. In addition, the Maintenance Mechanic will provide assistance to Electricians, HVAC mechanics and other members of the Plant Services.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Completion of high school or trade school,
  • Minimum of three years' experience in industrial maintenance
  • Must have a valid NJ Driver's License
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to distinguish and identify colors

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full Time Day
  • Monday - Friday 7am -3:30pm

Essential Functions:

  • Fix, maintain, create and build all aspects of the Hospitals infrastructure
  • On call seven days a week to respond to emergencies
  • Maintain Building functions during floods, fires, mechanical failure, Electrical Failures,
  • Called upon to evacuate people from stuck elevators
  • May be required to pick up materials from suppliers in order to complete a work order
  • Knowledge of and adhere to written departmental policies and procedures and all other duties as assigned
  • Will participate in snow removal activities as required

Other Requirements:

  • Must complete 30 Hours of Grainger Training, Asbestos Training and twelve other in-service job requirements per year
