 In the role of Senior Facility Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to:
 
      Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilitiesConduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civilMentor junior field staff and provide supervision as neededCollaborate with other field representatives or Project ManagersRead and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documentsConduct and document observations of construction as it progressesConduct or Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testingCompose reports with a daily log of activities, personnel, and pictures to send to clients dailyWork may require 50% to 100% travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections outside of the St. Louis AreaPossibility for Long term project assignmentsWork outdoors and navigate construction sites in all seasonsLicensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with applicable state lawPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications 
      Technical school or Associate degreeRelevant Industry CertificationsAbility to interpret construction schedulesFamiliarity with collaboration products such OneDrive, MS Teams, and OneNoteExperience with PDF editing software such as Revu Bluebeam or AdobeAbility to exercise critical thinking and independently resolve problems and issues
   Required Qualifications 
      Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma) A minimum of 5 years experience Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) Strong written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a teamAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustHDR's Drug and Alcohol Policy supports our commitment to employee safety and exceeding client requirements.
