Description

As an Electronics Technician II, you will be responsible for the mid-level troubleshooting, integration and testing of Mirion systems, in accordance with Manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures. You will also be expected to assist engineers in issue resolution and problem solving as required on your assigned products and to recommend changes to improve the safety, reliability quality and/or cost of these products.

Essential Duties



  • Final assembly (i.e.: hardware, wiring and soldering).
  • Preliminary and final test of completed products.
  • Comply with Quality Procedures.
  • Maintain schedule.
  • Visually inspect manufactured items for cosmetics, workmanship, soldering, conformance to drawings, and quality standards.
  • Verify proper revision levels and markings per prints.
  • Investigate, research and identify components in error.
  • Required to cross train.
  • Test and Calibration of Mirion products.
  • Confirm location of components against schematics.
  • Product assembly and test per documented procedures.
  • Troubleshoot products and systems.
  • Repair and refurbish Mirion products for internal rework and repair center as required.
  • Assist in conducting physical inventory and cycle counting.



Responsibilities

Safety



  • Obey all safety rules and regulations for the Oak Ridge site.
  • Submit safety opportunities for improvement through the Tier 1 and 2 processes.
  • Promptly report safety near misses or incidents to EHS or management.


Quality



      • Ensure compliance with our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
      • Assist in internal auditing when requested.


      Corporate/Site



      • Remain current in all required compliance training.
      • Obey all site regulations in accordance with the policies published in the Employee Handbook and by Human Resources.



      Additional Requirements



      • Good soldering skills.
      • Use of electronic test equipment (meter, scope, etc).
      • Ability to read schematic and drawings.
      • Understand basic electronic theory.
      • Read and identify electronic components.
      • Ability to read and follow QA procedures.
      • Knowledge of all assembly related hand tools.
      • Mechanical assembly skills.
      • Knowledge of SAP and SharePoint.



      Education & Experience Requirements



      • Associates degree or certificate program in Electronics Engineering Technology, Certificate program in Electronics Repair and Troubleshooting, or equivalent industrial experience, required.
      • 3-5 years of production manufacturing experience.
